FADP 2025 : La CJRS applaudit la transparence et réclame plus d’inclusion
At the press conference dedicated to the publication of the 2025 report of the Press Support and Development Fund (FADP), on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Mamadou Diagne, president of the Convention of Young Reporters of Senegal (CJRS), welcomed the holding of "constructive sessions" around the process of allocating and managing the FADP.
He notably congratulated the management board for its rigorous adherence to the criteria, stressing the importance of social obligations related to IPRES, taxes and social security contributions.
"These are very important criteria," he stressed, considering them as a lever to encourage the formalization and professionalization of press companies.
Recalling that the CJRS is not among the structures benefiting from the fund, Mamadou Diagne called for an evolution of the regulatory framework in order to integrate umbrella structures, whose actions also contribute to strengthening the capacities of media professionals.
Furthermore, he welcomed the strengthening of the resources allocated to the Centre for Studies in Information Science and Technology (CESTI), whose budget has increased from 25 million in 2023 to more than 125 million in 2025.
