Les révélations de l'ancien PM Sidiki Kaba sur les dessous de sa rencontre inattendue avec Diomaye Faye
The opening of the first round of consultations for the National Dialogue Day by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye continues to fuel debate within the political class. Faced with questions raised by the stance of the Alliance for the Republic (APR), former Prime Minister Sidiki Kaba felt compelled to offer clarification. The last head of government of the previous regime detailed the reasons behind his presence at the Presidential Palace, while reaffirming his loyalty to his political family.
Mr. Sidiki Kaba was quick to clarify the facts regarding his political party's official position. "I want to make it clear that it was Mr. Sidiki Kaba who chaired the meeting on Monday that decided not to participate in the dialogue and not to send any party representatives should the APR be invited," he firmly stated. He further clarified that "the APR was not invited to the dialogue."
The turning point came the next day, when the lawyer and statesman received his institutional summons. "When I received an invitation on Tuesday in my capacity as former Prime Minister, I immediately referred it to President Macky Sall," he explains.
It was with the explicit agreement of the party leadership that the former Prime Minister entered the Presidential Palace. "The party president authorized me to go as a matter of republican courtesy. So, I went with the approval and blessing of President Macky Sall," revealed Mr. Sidiki Kaba.
The former head of government added that "President Macky Sall also informed me that he authorized Abdoulaye Daouda Diallo and Mbaye Ndiaye, invited in their capacity as former Ministers of the Interior, to attend." Mr. Sidiki Kaba concluded his statement confidently: "President Macky Sall will confirm everything I have said."
