The Khadre community of Koulaye celebrated its annual Gamou, presided over for the first time by the spokesperson for the Caliph General, Cheikhal Khalifa Ababacar Kounta, on behalf of Cheikh Bou Sidy Moctar Kounta, Caliph General of the Khadriya. The ceremony included the laying of the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the mosque.

This opportunity was seized by the Khadre community of Koulaye to present its grievances to the national authorities represented by the mayor and the sub-prefect of Tenghori.

Souleymane Badji, the president of the Gamou organizing committee, explained that "for over a century, our village has worked in close spiritual and fraternal relationship with the marabouts of Ndiassane to expand and enrich Islam in our region. This mosque is part of the continuity of this religious and spiritual heritage. The laying of the foundation stone is not a simple material gesture. It symbolizes our living faith, our unity, our attachment to the values of Islam."

Presenting the community's grievances, the spokesperson mentioned the urgent need to complete the RN4 - Koulaye axis.

Also, the diligent installation of the factory for manufacturing electric poles to regulate rural exodus and put an end to illegal emigration.

He reiterated the community's wish to see the State take charge of the Gamou of Koulaye and also requested the government's support for the general khalifa Mohamed Kounta in the completion of the mosque, with the hope of inaugurating it during the Gamou 2026. In addition to the construction of a modern daara, the erection of a health post and a hut for toddlers.

In response, the sub-prefect of Tenghori said he had taken careful note of the needs expressed by the population. Amadou Dème assured them that the grievances raised would be forwarded to the appropriate authorities.
