The Gamou celebration of Imam Fansou Bodian, Imam Ratib of Bignona, brought together a high-level delegation composed of ministers, members of parliament, administrative authorities, and representatives of the defense and security forces. The ceremony, held under the banner of faith and national unity, was hailed as a resounding success.

The Minister of the Interior, Mouhamadou Bamba Cissé, expressed his gratitude to the security forces for their exemplary commitment. "You are my family, you are the guarantors of the peaceful conduct of our events," he stated, emphasizing the need to maintain maximum security for a gathering of national importance.

In his message, he recalled that Imam Fansou Bodian is recognized not only for his spiritual dimension, but also for his contribution to the history of Senegal.

The President of the Republic, Diomaye Diakhar Faye, had also requested that this celebration be elevated to the status of a national event, mobilizing a large government delegation.

The Minister also emphasized that this Gamou is a moment of peace and solidarity, in a context where the country has faced hardship. Quoting the Quranic verse Inna ma'al 'usri yusran ("With hardship comes ease"), he invited the faithful to remain hopeful and to pray for the stability and unity of Senegal.

The ceremony reaffirmed the importance of Casamance in spiritual and national life, while also paying tribute to Imam Bodian, described as a "man of justice and peace." The Minister of the Interior concluded by calling for unity and strengthened security to preserve national cohesion.
