The National Commission for Consultation on the Lunar Crescent (Conacoc) has announced that the observation of the lunar crescent, marking the end of the month of Ramadan and determining the date of the Korité festival, will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025. This observation session will take place at the RTS premises, corresponding to the 29th day of Ramadan.
In a press release, CONACOC invited the entire Muslim community to take part in this observation and to share any information relating to the appearance of the lunar crescent. To do so, worshippers can contact the commission via the telephone numbers provided.
This announcement marks a crucial step in determining the first day of the month of Shawwal, which will mark the celebration of Eid al-Fitr (Korité). As usual, CONACOC will play its coordinating role in officially announcing the date chosen for this important Muslim religious celebration.
