Préparatifs du Magal de Darou Salam : plaidoyer pour la transformation du poste de santé en centre de santé
Commemorating the historic reunion between Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba and his brother and disciple, Mame Cheikh Anta Mbacké, after the return from exile of Serigne Touba from Gabon, the Magal of Darou Salam will be celebrated on May 7, 2026.
Just days before this major event, the local population is advocating for the transformation of the health post into a health center. This plea was made by the head nurse, Ousmane Ndour, during a free medical consultation day organized by Serigne Mame Cheikh Mbacké.
Echoing this sentiment, MP Cheikh Thioro Mbacké believes that Darou Salam deserves a health center. According to the Touba parliamentarian, this request will be brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities. Adama Sylla and Ms. Amar welcomed the initiative and called upon those of goodwill to show solidarity.
