On World Autism Awareness Day, Amath Diouf, father of two autistic children living in the United States, gave a moving testimony. Between daily struggles and unconditional love, he called for compassion and support for all affected families.

“This Autism Awareness Month isn’t just a moment for me… it’s my life,” confides Amath Diouf. The father of a 15-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl, both diagnosed with autism, he describes a journey marked by silent struggles, unanswered questions, and exhaustion. But he also emphasizes the strength, innocence, and pure love his children possess.

In his message, he urges the community to keep all autistic children in their prayers: "Pray for their peace, their happiness, and their future." To the parents, he reminds them that they are not alone and that their children are not a burden, but a blessing and a responsibility entrusted by God.

A special tribute is paid to his wife, Sarata, who for almost ten years has chosen to stay home to care for their children. "A choice filled with sacrifice, patience, and immense love," he emphasizes, before adding: "Know that your sacrifice will never be in vain. You are an exceptional mother, a strong woman, and a pillar of our family," he wrote.

Through this testimony, Amath Diouf invites us to replace judgment with compassion, silence with understanding, and isolation with support. Her appeal resonates as a universal plea: "May Allah grant our children strength, grant us patience, and reward every parent committed to this path."
