Oussouye : Riposte citoyenne contre l’hépatite B
The Sara Demba public square in Oussouye hosted the closing ceremony of a training course dedicated to the fight against hepatitis B. Organised in partnership with the health district, this initiative is part of a dynamic of prevention and community action.
Over several days, 22 participants followed an intensive program. The theoretical component explored the modes of transmission of hepatitis B, methods of prevention, and the importance of screening.
The practical phase was distinguished by the creation of awareness-raising murals. These visual works, designed by the beneficiaries, aim to inform and mobilize local populations around preventive measures.
At the end of this training, the 22 participants become community liaisons. Their mission is now to lead the citizen response: disseminating best practices, raising awareness in their communities, and actively contributing to the fight against hepatitis B.
This initiative reflects a strong desire: to transform awareness into a collective and sustainable movement, where every citizen becomes an actor in public health.
