Tribunal de Thiès : M. Niang condamné à 3 mois de prison pour vol de téléphones
Mr. Niang might have hesitated to commit another theft if he had known he was going to be arrested.
This young man broke into Mr. Dabo's home at night to steal phones. While the family slept, Mr. Niang climbed the wall of the house and stole two phones, Tecno and iPhone XR.
After this first robbery, he went to the neighboring house to commit another robbery. But he was arrested on the spot. During a search, the police found two phones in his pockets. Residents confirmed the disappearance of the devices belonging to Mr. Dabo and A. Kâ.
Handed over to the police and placed in custody, Mr. Niang was tried this Monday by the Thiès district court.
In court, he admitted the facts and asked for forgiveness.
The public prosecutor considered that the facts were established and requested that the law be applied.
The court finally sentenced Mr. Niang to two years in prison, three of which were to be served.
