4 Avril à Sedhiou : Les hommages du gouverneur aux 75 victimes
During the official ceremony, the Governor of the Sédhiou region, Diadia Dia, spoke with a solemnity marked by emotion. He began his address by expressing his wishes for a speedy recovery to the 75 people injured in the incident that occurred during the torchlight procession.
The head of the regional executive warmly commended the regional hospital director for his prompt and effective response in providing care to the victims. Continuing his address, he expressed his sincere gratitude to the defense and security forces for their unwavering commitment on the ground. Mr. Dia also praised the beauty of the civilian parade and commended its organizers.
Regarding the numerous security challenges currently facing the region, the governor noted that large-scale operations are regularly conducted to ensure the safety of border populations.
