Following the publication of an article by the Seneweb website concerning accusations against a member of its teaching staff, the General Management of the Kambal School Group wished to exercise its right of reply. Committed to providing complete transparency to the public, partners, and parents, the school administration clarifies the sequence of events, refutes certain inaccurate claims, and reaffirms its zero-tolerance policy regarding child protection. Their full statement is below.

KAMBAL SCHOOL GROUP'S RIGHT OF REPLY

Following the article published by Seneweb concerning a case involving a former teacher of our establishment, the Management of the Kambal School Group wishes to provide the following clarifications in order to objectively inform the parents of students, the school's partners and the public.

1. Our top priority: protecting students

The Kambal School Group wishes to express its deep concern regarding the reported events. The protection, safety, and well-being of our students are fundamental principles that admit of no exceptions.

2. Clarification regarding the statements attributed to the professor

We formally deny the claim that "the teacher admitted to the facts in front of the school principal." This information is inaccurate.

As soon as the administration was informed of the accusations, a written request for explanation was immediately sent to the teacher in question to obtain his version of events, in accordance with administrative procedures and the principle of due process. The administration met with him solely for this purpose. At no point did he admit to the allegations in front of the principal.

3. The school itself informed the student's family

Contrary to any interpretation suggesting that the school was waiting for an external approach, it was the Kambal School Group that immediately took the initiative to summon and inform the student's mother as soon as she came to the administration to report the facts she was denouncing.

The teacher in question was also summoned by the administration as part of the internal procedure. This action reflects the school's ongoing commitment to acting with transparency, responsibility, and in the best interests of the child.

4. An immediate decision from Management

Given the seriousness of the accusations and in accordance with the Kambal School Group's zero-tolerance policy towards any behavior likely to harm the physical or moral integrity of a student, the institution immediately terminated all collaboration with this teacher, without waiting for the outcome of the legal proceedings.

5. Full cooperation with the authorities

The Kambal School Group is fully cooperating with the relevant authorities. In the interest of transparency and establishing the truth, the administration voluntarily presented itself to the Rufisque Urban Security services and provided its full cooperation to the investigators.

The institution will continue to make available to the judicial and administrative authorities all the elements useful for establishing the truth, in strict compliance with the ongoing procedure.

6. A safe school environment

The Kambal School Group condemns in the strongest possible terms any inappropriate behavior towards a child. Our school welcomes all students in a spirit of respect, openness, tolerance, and community, without distinction of origin, culture, or religion.

Our school is equipped with over 84 CCTV cameras, covering the various areas of the premises. It also has qualified supervisory staff, permanent monitors, and a teaching team trained in the requirements of a safe and caring school environment.
