Actes contre nature : Comment le « mara milliardaire », Abdoulaye Faye, a été capturé en Gambie
Implicated in a sordid case of unnatural acts, the marabout Serigne Abdoulaye Faye is now in the hands of the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC), confirming initial reports from our colleagues at 2AS Media. According to exclusive sources at Seneweb, the charlatan, nicknamed the "billionaire marabout," was arrested in Gambia thanks to an Interpol operation. He was transported to Dakar under heavy escort on Thursday night.
Sensing the tide turning after the initial stages of the investigation, Serigne Abdoulaye Faye discreetly left Senegalese territory to seek refuge in neighboring Gambia. Once there, he reportedly rented accommodation for six months, believing he could thus permanently evade Senegalese justice. However, cooperation between the DIC (Criminal Investigation Division) and the Gambian police allowed for the suspect's swift location. A specialized team was dispatched to the country to arrest him and arrange his transfer to the Senegalese capital.
The investigation also reveals the details of his escape. "Serigne Abdoulaye Faye confided that he was questioned once and then released. He reportedly took advantage of this opportunity to flee to Gambia," explains one of our sources close to the case. Currently in the custody of the DIC (Criminal Investigation Division), the marabout will have to answer to the serious accusations against him.
