Affaire Dame Amar : Abdoulaye, le fils d'Idrissa Seck, retourne en prison
Brought before the Dakar court this morning by the Special Cybersecurity Division (DSC), Pape Abdoulaye Seck, son of former Prime Minister Idrissa Seck, was remanded in custody by the public prosecutor. His trial is scheduled for Monday, May 4, 2026, barring any changes.
A complaint with serious accusations
It all started with a complaint filed by Dame Amar, the son of the late billionaire Ameth Amar, with the DSC. The complainant accuses Pape Abdoulaye Seck of blackmail, dissemination of personal images, and fraudulent withdrawal of more than 10 million CFA francs.
According to Dame Amar's version of events, he had invited Pape Abdoulaye Seck to France where he allegedly gave him his bank card to make a withdrawal. The accused then reportedly disappeared with the card, siphoning over 10 million CFA francs from his friend's account in the process.
But the accusations don't stop there. To the DSC investigators, Dame Amar gave damning revelations, supported by bank statements and screenshots of messages: "He filmed me without my knowledge. Pape Abdoulaye Seck then sent me the videos asking for money, while threatening to publish the images. I captured his messages."
It should be noted that the suspect was involved in a previous drug-related case.
