Affaire Pape Cheikh Diallo et Cie : une nouvelle arrestation
The investigation into the sprawling case involving Pape Cheikh Diallo has not yet revealed all its secrets. In its edition of Saturday, March 14, Source A reports that the Keur Massar Research Brigade (BR) arrested a Cameroonian national on Thursday evening, whom investigators describe as a direct contact of the radio host.
The suspect, identified as Stéphane NGEN, has been taken into custody and is expected to be brought before the public prosecutor at the Pikine-Guédiawaye court on Monday.
With this latest arrest, the total number of people implicated in this high-profile case has risen to 41. So far, the presiding judge has issued 39 arrest warrants, notably against figures such as Djiby Dramé and Zale Mbaye. Only journalist Pape Biram Bigué Ndiaye has been placed under judicial supervision.
The accused face extremely serious charges, ranging from criminal conspiracy and money laundering to acts against nature, including the intentional transmission of HIV and drug trafficking. The investigation is actively continuing to determine the true extent of this network and to identify any other accomplices, the same source added.
