Agression dans un guichet de transfert d’argent à Ngaye-Méckhé : La gérante perd plus d'un million F CFA
Over one million CFA francs. That's the amount of money lost by the manager of a money transfer office in Ngaye-Méckhé, in the Tivaouane department, at the hands of an individual who posed as a customer and whose identity is still unknown. He managed to steal 1,100,000 CFA francs from the office manager on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
He arrived at the bank branch in the Ndiop neighborhood around 10 a.m., posing as an ordinary customer. According to the manager, he said he wanted to make a deposit or transfer of 1,500,000 CFA francs. While the woman was checking if the requested sum was available, the man allegedly sprayed her with a liquid that caused her to lose consciousness.
Upon waking, the manager discovered that 1,100,000 CFA francs were missing from the cash registers. The supposed customer had already left. A complaint against an unknown person was filed with the Ngaye-Méckhé gendarmerie brigade, which has opened an investigation.
