Agression mortelle à Dagana-Richard-Toll : la gendarmerie recherche trois suspects
A violent attack has claimed the life of a young man. He was Mouhamed Ndiaye, 21, a first-year mechanics student at the ISEP engineering school in Richard-Toll. The tragedy occurred on National Route 2, near the village of Keur Birane.
According to Libération, which relayed the information in its edition of Tuesday, November 25, a widely shared and particularly poignant video shows the victim a few hours before the tragedy "preparing the couscous that her mother sells".
The newspaper adds: "On September 20, Mouhamed Ndiaye (21 years old) performed the same ritual in Dagana, before heading to Richard-Toll where he is enrolled in the first year of Mechanics at ISEP."
Later that same day, around 9:55 p.m., while Mouhamed Ndiaye and his friend Abdoulaye Diagne Mbodj were traveling from Dagana to Richard-Toll on a KTM motorcycle, they were intercepted by three unidentified individuals. When Mouhamed Ndiaye refused to comply, one of the assailants struck him violently with a stick while the motorcycle was still moving. The student died instantly from the force of the impact, while his friend, Abdoulaye Diagne Mbodj, was seriously injured.
Taking advantage of the darkness, the assailants fled. The Richard-Toll territorial gendarmerie brigade is currently conducting a search for the three suspects. An investigation has been opened, the same source added.
