Arrestation d’un conducteur guinéen par le police sénégalaise : Ce que déplore l’ambassade de la Guinée
The Guinean embassy in Dakar has spoken out in response to the case. Indeed, on November 14th, a Guinean driver was arrested by the Senegalese police.
Brought before the court for alleged trafficking of consular documents, he was finally acquitted on Thursday, November 20, 2025, following a "trial resulting in a dismissal of the case," according to the diplomatic mission.
The press release states that the evidence provided by the embassy has confirmed that the consular cards presented by the driver were indeed issued by the institution.
"The Embassy of the Republic of Guinea in Senegal deplores this arrest, promptly followed by an indictment, without consultation, for a check of consular cards whose authenticity only it can confirm or deny," it states in its text.
She pledged to strengthen the necessary measures to put an end to "these actions." She also called on Guinean nationals to respect the laws and regulations established in Senegal.

Je me suis toujours demandé s'il existait un ambassadeur guinéen au Sénégal, tellement on ne l'entend jamais sur les agissements des guinéens peulhs.
Le message de l ambassade c est d aller se régulariser sinon la police sénégalaise ne va pas vous rater
