« Arrêt Yamba » : Un jeune arrêté pour usage de chanvre indien, ses camarades s'échappent
O. Sène, a 25-year-old man, was arrested in Thiès, in the Médina Fall neighborhood, at a place called "Arrêt Yamba," known as a gathering point for marijuana use. The police operation was reportedly triggered by a tip-off.
During the police raid, the other individuals present fled. Police claim to have found marijuana at the scene, which led to the arrest of O. Sène and his detention.
Appearing before the court for flagrant offenses on March 25, the defendant denied the charges. He maintained that he was simply present at the scene and that the drugs did not belong to him, claiming he did not use them. The prosecutor requested that the law be applied. The verdict was reserved and will be delivered at a later date.
