Attaque de l'hôtel Le Pélican à Ndangane : un sixième suspect arrêté par la BR de Kaolack

Ten months after the events, the manhunt is not over. The Research Brigade of the Kaolack gendarmerie company has just dealt another blow to the gang suspected of having carried out an armed robbery at the Le Pélican hotel in Ndangane Campement, located in Fimela, on the night of May 1st to 2nd, 2025.

Found in Sandiara after ten months on the run

On March 29, 2026, at dawn, the elements of the Research Brigade, under the command of Chief Warrant Officer Modou Ndiaye, carried out a targeted operation in the locality of Sandiara, in the department of Mbour.

MB Sow, alias Mody, was apprehended at his home, unable to offer any resistance. The suspect had been on the run since May 2025, when the first members of his gang were arrested. The arrest was carried out based on a judicial warrant issued by the investigating judge at the Fatick High Court, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.

Brought before the investigating judge on April 1, 2026, MB Sow quickly learned his fate. Charged with conspiracy, burglary committed by a group, possession and use of firearms, and use of a means of transportation, he was remanded in custody.

Five suspected robbers had already been arrested by the Kaolack Research Brigade in May 2025. They are currently behind bars awaiting trial. With this sixth arrest, the net is closing in even further on the suspected perpetrators of this audacious attack.
