The commune of Inor, located in the Bounkiling department, faces numerous development challenges. The lack of electricity remains one of the most pressing problems, forcing students to study by flashlight. This is compounded by persistent insecurity. There is also the absence of passable roads, a situation that severely complicates travel and sometimes leads to tragic consequences.
Finally, access to drinking water remains a major challenge for the population. In several localities, residents continue to consume well water due to insufficient piped water supply. Faced with this reality, Boubacar Diao, president of the Movement for the Development of Inor, sounded the alarm this Monday.
He was speaking at a training session for women from the 34 villages in the commune. The initiative focused on making laundry and bath soap. According to him, this activity aims to combat poverty and social insecurity. It also intends to strengthen the economic empowerment of women in the commune. A modest step, but one that offers hope for the people of Inor.
