Bounkiling : Un pêcheur emporté par une tornade sur le fleuve Soungrougrou
On the night of Sunday to Monday, a fisherman named B. Cambi lost his life in the Soungrougrou River. He was swept away by an unexpected tornado. He had gone fishing and was due to return home to Inor, a village and the capital of the commune, located in the Bounkiling department (Sedhiou region), around 11 p.m. His prolonged absence has caused concern among his family.
A search was organized, mobilizing the residents of the area. Unfortunately, it was the lifeless body of the fisherman that was found this Monday afternoon on the other bank of the river, in the village of Baya.
The late husband, who was of advanced age, leaves behind several children and a community in shock.
