Braquages, arnaques et lenteurs judiciaires : les distributeurs et prestataires du Sénégal tirent la sonnette d'alarme
The Union of Distributors and Service Providers of Senegal (UDPS), which represents all master distributors and wholesalers in Senegal, held its extraordinary general assembly this Saturday, April 25. The organization's Vice-President, Aminata Hann, presented the objectives of the meeting and the concerns of its members.
“We are bringing together all the masters and wholesalers in Senegal. The objective is the renewal of the board of our association and the examination of our relations and prospects with our partners,” she said.
Aminata Hann also spoke about the difficulties faced by members of the organization. "We have many problems, including insecurity in our branches, scams, and delays in mobilizing financial resources from banks," she listed.
On the security front, the UDPS has specific expectations of the State. "We expect the State to provide more security in our areas, such as patrols and more diligent investigations in the event of robberies; there are far too many delays. We want greater transparency regarding our actual supervising ministerial authority. Who is our supervising minister? We still don't know," lamented the Vice-President.
Then, distributors and service providers called for strengthened collaboration with banks, greater security for transactions and agencies, and a greater contribution to wealth and job creation in Senegal.
