Cachet du District sanitaire de Saint-Louis falsifié : la police démantèle la “mafia” de Pathé Fall
A traffic control operation in Pikine Angle Tall led to the dismantling of a document forgery ring, involving insurance slips, official stamps, and a fake medical stamp. Three people were brought before Prosecutor Baye Thiam, head of the Saint-Louis prosecutor's office, on Monday, March 16, 2026.
A roadside check reveals the fraud
On March 11, 2026, police officer Y. Diédhiou, stationed at the Pikine Angle Tall traffic control point, was checking the documents of a Mercedes bus. He noticed that the insurance policy presented, issued by Sunu Assurances, was stamped "Urban Taxi" even though the vehicle was a bus. When questioned, the driver, M. Diop, stated that he had purchased the stub from a certain Pathé Fall for 10,000 CFA francs, while the normal fare is 21,000 CFA francs.
Search and damning discoveries
Arrested by the Pikine district police station in Saint-Louis, under the command of Commissioner Diame Yaré Fall, Pathé Fall was questioned and his statement recorded, and he readily admitted to the charges. A search of his home in the Eaux-Claires neighborhood yielded a laptop, a printer, several blank Sunu Assurances insurance forms, football licenses from the "Uni-Foot" school, seventy-one thousand CFA francs, and four stamps bearing the following inscriptions: "Uni-Foot Academy," "Aar Sunu," "Cheikh Ameth Tidiane Chérif - Service Provider," and the stamp of the Saint-Louis Health District, according to Seneweb sources.
A medical stamp manufactured without a nurse's knowledge
Faced with these new findings, Pathé Fall admitted to having the medical stamp made in the name of his nephew, O. Guèye, a state-registered nurse in the Saint-Louis Health District, without the latter's knowledge. He claimed to have ordered it from the printer PSKDiop, located in the Nord-Île neighborhood, under the pretext of wanting to give it to his nephew. When questioned, the printer admitted to having produced the four stamps based on trust.
The representatives of Sunu Assurances, AE Fall and M.Ba, confirmed that Pathé Fall was only a simple business introducer, without any authorization to affix subscription category stamps or to market insurance slips.
The Health District files a complaint
Informed of the facts, the Saint-Louis Health District reacted through its chief physician, Ibou Guèye, who filed a complaint registered on March 15, 2026. According to him, Pathé Fall not only usurped his nephew's identity, but also illegally practiced medicine, notably by carrying out medical fitness examinations for young football players, acts which must imperatively be carried out by a legally authorized person.
At the end of the investigation, all those involved were presented on Monday, March 16, 2026 to Prosecutor Baye Thiam, head of the Saint-Louis prosecutor's office.
