Chambre criminelle de Mbour : Un maçon condamné à 10 ans de prison pour pédophilie, acte contre nature et viol
Mouhamed Ndiaye, 25, a bricklayer by trade, was sentenced by the Mbour Criminal Court to 10 years in prison. On October 10, 2022, the accused allegedly abused a 12-year-old child. The victim's mother contacted the police to report her son's horrific ordeal. He was tried for pedophilia, sodomy, and rape.
Marième Fall explained that her son had told her that Mouhamed Ndiaye had forced him into a taxi at knifepoint. He then drove him to Grand-Mbour beach to rape him.
During the investigation, Mouhamed Ndiaye confessed to the crime. In court, he denied committing this barbaric act, adding that he had been brutally beaten by the investigators, which forced him to admit to this heinous crime.
The victim had explained to her mother that the perpetrator of this abuse frequented the bus stop near the Demba Diop high school. Investigators apprehended the accused at that location.
In court, he denied the charges before claiming he remembered absolutely nothing. He asserted that he was sometimes under the influence of djinns, which caused him to have fits of anger, which were reported to him when he became lucid.
The prosecutor asked him what their interest was in falsely accusing him before requesting a 15-year prison sentence.
But the defense argued that the accused needed psychological counseling rather than a prison sentence. Attorney Kane even requested a medical examination to demonstrate that his client appeared to be impaired in his mental capacity.
The court rejected the request and ultimately sentenced Mouhamed Ndiaye to 10 years in prison.
