Chute mortelle d'une femme de 58 ans à Pikine : Son amant inculpé pour meurtre et placé sous bracelet électronique
There's a new development in the case of the 58-year-old woman who died after a fall at her 53-year-old lover's home in the Lobat Fall neighborhood. Brought before the Pikine district police station on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, the deceased woman's lover and his sister-in-law (the wife of his younger brother) saw their legal situation change this Monday, January 12.
Charged with murder and electronic monitoring bracelet
After several referrals to the prosecutor's office, Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office, requested the opening of a judicial investigation. The deceased woman's boyfriend was charged with murder on Monday and placed under house arrest with an electronic monitoring bracelet, according to Seneweb sources. His sister-in-law, meanwhile, was granted provisional release in the same legal proceedings. Both individuals have now been released following this decision by the investigating magistrate.
A troubled love relationship and breakup difficult to accept
As a reminder, according to police investigations, after her divorce from a Lebanese national, Ms. MY Fall began a romantic relationship with I. Seck, her neighbor in the Lobat Fall housing complex. The couple enjoyed a perfect romance, despite the age difference, according to the neighborhood inquiry.
Recently, I. Seck had decided to end their romantic relationship, which the woman could not accept. She did everything she could to get back together with him, even going so far as to ask for the intervention of an acquaintance of Seck's.
Suicide threats
The woman in her fifties even sent a voicemail to I. Seck in which she threatened to commit suicide because of him. This audio recording was used as part of the investigation.
On the night of December 28-29, 2025, MY Fall went to the building where her ex-boyfriend lived on the 2nd floor. But he had apparently locked his door and turned off his cell phone to avoid answering her repeated calls.
I. Seck lived with his younger brother's wife in this building. MY Fall tried, unsuccessfully, to contact this sister-in-law by telephone to gain access to the apartment.
