In the early hours of May 19, 2026, around 3:00 AM, officers from the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Parcelles Assainies district police station dismantled a large-scale pimping and clandestine prostitution ring operating between the Damel and Mixta neighborhoods. Six people were arrested and brought before the Dakar prosecutor's office on charges of aggravated pimping, sexual exploitation of minors, complicity in prostitution, human trafficking, and running a brothel, according to Seneweb sources.

Police officers, returning from patrol after acting on a tip, arrested six individuals, including four women:

SISeck, alias “Sidy Diop”, 22 years old, trader, residing in the Soprim district, presented as the mastermind of the network;

N.Mbaye, alias "Amina", 21 years old, hairdresser;

A.Ndiaye, 27 years old, unemployed;

A.Kanté, alias "Tima", 25 years old, unemployed;

F.Thiam, alias "Diarra", 16 years old, unemployed; M.Samb, 19 years old, merchant.

SISeck, the brains of the network

The evidence suggests that SISeck, alias "Sidy Diop," was the ringleader of the network. He recruited and exploited the women N.Mbaye, A.Kanté, F.Thiam, and A.Ndiaye by procuring clients for them for clandestine prostitution, including minors. He was paid directly from the funds paid by the clients he brought in.

When questioned, SISeck admitted to the charges against him. The women arrested confirmed that they were carrying out this activity without being registered with the health authorities, receiving their clients in apartments rented from two brokers named Aliou and "Commandant," without further details.

Mr. Samb, an accomplice betrayed by WhatsApp

Unexpectedly, 19-year-old Samb turned himself in at the police station to visit his girlfriend, N. Mbaye. She had already mentioned him during her interrogation as the one who had been finding her clients during the period when she had stopped seeing Siseck.

Confronted with the facts, Mr. Samb denied the accusations, but failed to convince investigators. Analysis of his WhatsApp exchanges with N. Mbaye ultimately established his complicity, corroborating her statements.

Six people brought before the prosecutor

Following their detention, the six individuals were brought before the Dakar prosecutor's office on charges of aggravated pimping, sexual exploitation of minors, complicity in prostitution, human trafficking, and operating a brothel. It should be noted that among those charged is F. Thiam, who was only 16 years old at the time of the events, which significantly aggravates the charges against the main suspect.
