Coup de filet de la BR de Saly : La gendarmerie met fin à une mafia du sexe opérant sur Facebook
The Saly Research Brigade, under the Mbour gendarmerie company, has achieved a major success by dismantling an organized prostitution ring operating in the seaside resort of Saly. The operation, conducted methodically and discreetly, led to the arrest of three women at the heart of a particularly well-structured clandestine prostitution system.
It all began when investigators from the Mbour gendarmerie unit received information that a woman, the alleged pimp NA Ndiaye, aged 26, had recruited two young women whom she was exploiting as prostitutes. To conduct her business discreetly, she had rented an apartment located at the Saly intersection. The gendarmes then meticulously cross-checked the information to confirm the reality of this criminal activity, which was taking place daily in the apartment.
One of the most disturbing aspects of this case lies in the use of Facebook as a client recruitment tool. NA Ndiaye herself managed the advertisements posted on the platform, presenting the profiles of the two young women she exploited to attract clients. These clients could view the profiles, choose the woman of their choice, and then go to the apartment where two rooms had been specially prepared for paid encounters.
Facebook, the network's digital showcase
Armed with the information gathered, investigators from the Saly Research Brigade took action on April 17, 2025. Plainclothes gendarmes raided the premises unexpectedly, leaving the three women present no chance to flee or conceal their activities. On site, they observed the two rooms set up to receive clients, confirming the methodical and deliberate organization of the network. The three women were arrested immediately, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.
The alleged pimp, NA Ndiaye, is a single mother of three, with no professional qualifications, residing in Mbour. She orchestrated the entire operation, from renting the apartment and recruiting the young women to managing Facebook ads and receiving clients.
The first young woman recruited and exploited was N. Ndiaye, aged 21, single and mother of two. Presented on Facebook through a profile managed by NA Ndiaye, she was made available to clients who came to the apartment.
The second woman exploited in this network is K. Sow, 27 years old, from Pout, single and mother of two. She too was among the profiles offered on Facebook by the alleged pimp and received clients in the apartment specially furnished for this purpose.
Three days after their arrest, the three women involved were brought before Prosecutor Augustin Yakhar Faye, head of the Mbour prosecutor's office, to answer for the charges of pimping, clandestine prostitution and endangering the lives of others.
