Coups et blessures volontaires : une femme condamnée à un mois de prison par le tribunal de Thiès
The Thiès court of first instance judged, this Monday, F. Niang, a 29-year-old woman, prosecuted for intentional assault and battery (CBV) resulting in a temporary incapacity for work (ITT) of 15 days.
According to the plaintiff, B. Thiam, the incident stemmed from an argument that escalated. During the altercation, the defendant allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed him repeatedly. The victim claims to have been stabbed three times, notably in the arm and back.
In court, the facts were examined in light of the statements and evidence in the case file. The plaintiff claimed 20,000 FCFA in damages.
For his part, the deputy public prosecutor considered that the facts were consistent and requested the application of the law.
After deliberation, the court found F. Niang guilty. She was sentenced to one month of imprisonment and ordered to pay 20,000 FCFA in damages to the plaintiff.
