DAKAR : 4 individus arrêtés pour vente d'aliments de volaille impropres à la consommation
Four individuals were arrested on November 27, 2025, by the Malika District Police Station. They are being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, selling food products unfit for consumption, and endangering the lives of others.
According to the police, the three suspects were hired by a factory specializing in the production of poultry feed to dispose of this unsuitable product destined for destruction. After transporting the poultry feed to a location, these individuals intended to repackage it into bags for resale.
They were apprehended by police at the scene very quickly. During questioning, they confessed to the crime and gave the recipient's name. They stated that the recipient had ordered more than ten bags of this waste from them. A few minutes after their arrest, a fourth individual arrived to collect his order and was also arrested.
The suspects were taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing. The police then handed over the contaminated product, consisting of twelve half-bags, to the National Hygiene Service.
