De cadre à l'AIBD à Procureur : Le "Don Juan" Chérif Ba démasqué après avoir piègé une dizaine de femmes
It was finally on May 1st, 2026, in a hotel in Thiès, that the scheme of S. Sow, alias "Chérif Ba," a man in his forties who posed as a high-ranking official to seduce and manipulate his victims, collapsed. A virtual encounter that turned into a nightmare.
It all started on Facebook. Behind a charming profile, Sow presented himself as an employee of a prestigious company (AIBD SA). The young woman, seduced by his promises, entrusted him with intimate videos. Their first date was set for Thiès. She left Yenne (Dakar) with her two-month-old baby to meet the man she believed to be the love of her life. But in the hotel room, the illusion shattered.
Intoxicated, Sow attempted to force himself to have sex. The victim resisted, secretly called her family, and eventually lost consciousness. Emergency services were alerted, and officers from the Urban Security Unit intervened. A search revealed a bottle of alcohol, a condom, and, most importantly, a phone filled with compromising videos of several Senegalese women.
When questioned, Sow admitted to using a false name and acknowledged his online seduction tactics. But the story doesn't end there. A bar owner also testified: "Sow presented himself as a prosecutor from the Thiès court. Confident and poised, he ordered everyone in the bar to be served, leaving a bill of 40,000 FCFA before disappearing." Confronted with the evidence, he admitted to impersonating a prosecutor to impress women and the public.
From online seducer to fake magistrate, Sow has thus multiplied his lies and scams. Following his detention, he was brought before a judge on charges of rape, using a false name, threatening to release personal data, impersonating a public official, and fraud.
