De sa chambre à Liberté 2, il gérait un trafic de drogue… jusqu'à ce que la police frappe à sa porte
A resident of Liberté 2, AAFaye, 31 years old, is facing justice today. The Dieuppeul district police station, under the command of Commissioner Thioub, brought him before the prosecutor of the Dakar High Court on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, for possession and trafficking of synthetic drugs.
It all began on March 23, 2026, when investigators from the research brigade received an anonymous tip about an MDMA trafficking operation run by an individual residing in that area.
After a long surveillance operation, the police noticed a suspicious pattern: individuals regularly arrived on motorcycles, briefly entered a home and left immediately.
Following this surveillance, the officers raided the premises and arrested Faye. A search of his room revealed a pearly white ball of MDMA, five packaged packets ready for sale, three empty sachets, and 24,000 CFA francs, likely proceeds from drug trafficking.
Placed in police custody, the accused admitted to the facts. He indicated that he obtained his supplies from a certain Mouhamed, whom he usually met near the place called "Niaye ba", close to the old Mermoz runway.
He also specifies that his clients, contacted by telephone, usually consume the drug on the premises.
Analyses by the Laboratory of the Technical and Scientific Police Division have formally confirmed that the seized substance contains all the precursors of ecstasy, totaling 21.4 g according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.
After 35 hours in police custody, AAFaye was taken to the prosecutor's office. The investigation continues to find his supplier.
