Désencombrement de la RN4 et des abords du marché de Bignona : Le préfet salue la mobilisation des acteurs et appelle au respect des mesures
The decongestion operations on National Road 4 (RN4) and the area around the Bignona market yesterday, Saturday, October 25, 2025, took place without incident. Traders and users left the area before the deadline to return to the sites set up to temporarily accommodate them, to the great satisfaction of the local authorities.
Mamadou Khouma, the prefect, praised the sense of responsibility of the traders who evacuated the premises early, helping to relieve congestion on the road and allow for the rehabilitation work on this busy road to be carried out. A long-term project, said the administrative authority, which resulted in a mobilization around the essentials.
Mamadou Khouma praised the greatness of spirit of the traders, their involvement in the process, as well as the commitment of the mayors of Bignona and Tenghory, and the defense and security forces.
In the process, the prefect called on elected officials to take the necessary steps to ensure that the resettlement sites chosen and developed for the merchants have all the necessary amenities. He also requested that all measures be taken to prevent further invasion of the RN4 and the areas surrounding the Bignona market.
