Dialogue social : Diomaye Faye exige un livre blanc sur les doléances syndicales avant le 30 avril

The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, made the strengthening of social dialogue one of the central points of his communication during the Council of Ministers meeting this Wednesday, April 15, held at the Palace of the Republic.

From the outset, he praised the government's efforts to honor the State's commitments, including the regularization of administrative and statutory situations in the education and health sectors, as well as the signing of the Social Stability Pact for inclusive and sustainable growth with employers and trade unions.

The head of state asked the government to publish, before April 30, 2026, a white paper on the state of addressing the grievances of the trade union federations and the evaluation of the first year of application of the pact.

5th Social Conference and May 1st in the program

He also stressed the importance of continuous monitoring of the national social barometer relating to reported social conflicts and strike notices.

"Furthermore, the President of the Republic is instructing each minister to review sectoral social demands in order to focus energies on the proper functioning and quality of public service, user satisfaction, and the improvement of efficiency and productivity at work," the statement reads.

Finally, Diomaye Faye asked the Prime Minister and the Minister of Labour to prepare the 5th Social Conference, the theme of which will be "Productivity at work", and to ensure that the ceremony for receiving the grievances of the trade union federations is held on May 1, 2026 at the Palace of the Republic.
