Diamaguène: fatigué de la drogue, un trafiquant se livre spontanément à la police
An unusual scene unfolded on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at around 7 p.m., at the Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao district police station. A man voluntarily presented himself at the police counter to... turn himself in.
The individual, who identified himself as El Hadji Ndong, born in 1990 in Yeumbeul and residing in Sicap Mbao, stated unequivocally that he was both a trafficker and a consumer of Indian hemp.
The reason for this rare and unexpected move? Weariness. In his own words, he is "tired" of this life and wishes to definitively turn the page on his illicit activities, according to Seneweb sources.
But the confession didn't stop there. The body search immediately carried out by the officers led to the discovery of eight packets of Indian hemp hidden in his pockets, as well as two knives.
When questioned about the presence of these bladed weapons, El Hadji Ndong provided an explanation: he also works as a butcher and says he uses these knives as part of his professional activity.
Despite the voluntary nature of his actions, the repentant man did not escape the legal consequences of his confession. He was taken into custody after the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office was informed of the facts by Prosecutor Saliou Dicko.
