Diofior : Plus de 2 t de produits avariés recyclées par la brigade d’hygiène
In Diofior, the fight against unfit-for-consumption products has reached a new stage. The head of the local hygiene brigade, Warrant Officer Cheikh Tidiane Seck, oversaw an operation this year to destroy products seized from establishments open to the public (ERP), adopting an innovative approach focused on recycling.
Conducted in collaboration with the youth of Diofior, this initiative aims not only to eliminate products harmful to health, but also to promote environmentally friendly practices. This approach is part of a broader effort to modernize seizure management methods.
In total, more than two tons of spoiled products were processed, representing an estimated value of 2,800,000 CFA francs. These products, deemed unfit for consumption, were withdrawn from the distribution network to protect the population from health risks.
Through this action, the authorities reaffirm their commitment to ensuring food safety and protecting public health. They intend to continue and strengthen controls in establishments open to the public to eradicate any threat related to the sale of spoiled products.
