Djeddah Thiaroye Kao : charretier lynché à coups de briques, le film d'une expédition punitive sanglante
The Saliou Ndir neighborhood in Djeddah-Thiaroye Kao was the scene of a "remarkably violent punitive expedition" on the night of April 13-14. L'Observateur, which reported the incident, revealed that S. Ndiaye, a 27-year-old cart driver, was lynched by an armed gang after being accused of stealing two sheep.
The events began, according to the same source, when K. Sène, a 75-year-old woman from a family of "notorious criminals and repeat offenders," noticed her livestock was missing. She went to the young man's home to demand the return of the sheep, threatening him with reprisals. Despite the cart driver's denials, the threat was carried out that very evening during a veritable "night of terror."
Around 10 p.m., his son Ousseynou, alias "Seikh bi," recently released from prison, gathered his gang. Armed with knives, sticks, and projectiles, they intercepted Saibatou Ndiaye in the street. Before the helpless eyes of local residents, the cart driver endured a "ten-minute ordeal": forced to the ground, he was stabbed, and his attackers "dropped bricks" on his head before leaving him in his blood.
Found in critical condition by the Thiaroye police investigation unit, he was evacuated to the Idrissa Pouye Hospital in Grand-Yoff. The victim is currently in a coma, suffering from a severe head injury.
Following the investigation, the newspaper of the Groupe Futurs Médias reports that K. Sène was arrested and remanded in custody on April 14 for complicity in attempted murder, as the alleged instigator. Her son Ousseynou, whose twin brother Assane is "languishing in prison for murder," as well as her accomplices, are "actively being sought" by the detectives.
