Domou Sénégal reçu en audience fraternelle par le Khalife des Tidianes à Tivaouane
The Domou Sénégal association, representing the Senegalese community of Lebanese origin, was received on Sunday, September 28, 2025, by the General Caliph of the Tijaniyya order, Serigne Babacar Sy Mansour, during a visit described as "historic" and imbued with "profound spirituality." This meeting, marked by an exceptional welcome, follows on from last year's visit to the Caliph of the Mourides in Touba, aimed at "strengthening the fraternal and spiritual bonds between the country's various communities, in a spirit of respect, solidarity, and national unity." "This was not a protocol visit, but a moment of communion, emotion, and sincere fraternity. We felt a strong connection between the Senegalese community of Lebanese origin and the Tijaniyya community," declared the members of the Domou Sénégal board.
Blessings and a message of unity
Welcomed by Serigne Mansour Sy Ibn Dabakh, son of the former Khalif Serigne Abdoul Aziz Sy Dabakh, and by former minister Mouhamadou Makhtar Cissé, the delegation was honored by the Khalif's words: "I commend your commitment, your spirit of solidarity, and your actions in service to the country. I pray for the success of Domou Sénégal and I invite all Senegalese to support your initiatives." The meeting concluded with a prayer session dedicated to the association, followed by a guided tour of the Great Mosque of Tivaouane, "a moment of sharing and learning imbued with humility."
Domou Senegal, an actor in living together
Founded in 2023, Domou Sénégal works in education, health, social services, and sports to promote national cohesion. "We are all children of Senegal. Meeting with our religious leaders is going to the source of blessing, dialogue, and peace," stated an official. This dual visit to Touba and Tivaouane anchors the association in the spiritual and civic values of Senegal, confirming its commitment to inclusive coexistence.

C'est une belle intégration ! J'ai rencontré une fille " libanaise" un jour et je lui ai dit " naar bii gadone " et elle m'a répondu en Wolof " je suis plus sénégalaise que toi" ! Elle m'a dit si Aujourd'hui j'allais au Liban je ne saurais pas où dormir ! Ce sont des générations et des générations ! Niou Sante ko yalla rek ! Il faut que les Sénégalais apprennent à s'affranchir du complexe racial pour une meilleure cohabitation sociale !
