Drame à Diamalaye : un corps sans vie d'un boulanger découvert sur la plage
On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 12:40 p.m., the district police station of unit 15 of Parcelles-Assainies was informed of the discovery of a lifeless body on the beach of Diamalaye.
An on-site examination revealed that the body was that of a male individual who had washed up on the beach, and whose appearance suggested death by drowning. The body showed signs of skin maceration and was partially disfigured, according to Seneweb sources.
According to testimonies gathered on site, the body was seen on the beach around 8 a.m. A man, K. Guèye, presented himself as the older brother of the deceased and formally identified the victim: he was Mr. Guèye, 21 years old, a baker by profession, who resided at the time in Unit 24 of Parcelles-Assainies.
Alerted, the firefighters from Parcelles-Assainies removed the body. A request was sent to the forensic pathologist at Idrissa Pouye Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact circumstances of the death. The public prosecutor has been informed of the case.
