Drame à Fass : les causes de la mort d'une étudiante révélées
The Fass neighborhood is in shock after the sudden death of Ndèye Mamou Camara, a 22-year-old first-year law student at UCAD. Reporting on the circumstances of the tragedy, L'Observateur explains that her lifeless body was discovered this Saturday on the terrace of her student residence. The grim discovery was made around 1 p.m. while the young woman was doing her laundry. Worried by her prolonged absence, her roommates eventually found her lying motionless on the ground, her laundry basket beside her. When emergency services arrived at 2:15 p.m., they could only confirm her death.
The autopsy, performed at Idrissa Pouye General Hospital, has cleared up any doubts about the circumstances of her disappearance. The medical verdict concluded that she suffered from "hypertrophic cardiomyopathy" severely aggravated by anemia.
Weakened by her battle with sickle cell disease and asthma, the young student reportedly succumbed to heart failure, a consequence of the illness and accumulated fatigue. The medical examination confirmed the absence of any signs of violence, concluding that she died of natural causes, the same source emphasized.
