Drame à Maranda (Sédhiou) : La joie de la victoire vire au deuil
The village of Maranda, located in the commune of Oudoucar, is plunged into deep sadness. While Senegal was celebrating the victory of the Lions of Teranga against Morocco, tragedy struck, casting a shadow over the festivities: the sudden death of Mr. Touré, who collapsed after the announcement of the final score.
The locals had turned out in droves to watch the clash between Senegal and Morocco. The intensity of the match and the unbearable suspense kept the fans in a state of intense emotional stress throughout.
At the final whistle, the explosion of joy that swept through the village unfortunately proved fatal for Mr. Touré. According to eyewitness accounts, he collapsed and died during his transfer to the regional hospital in Sédhiou.
The funeral is scheduled for this Monday at 2 p.m., according to his relatives.
