Drame évité de justesse : Les passagers échappent au pire après l'incendie de leur véhicule à Louga
A "War Gaindé" truck suddenly caught fire on the Louga-Saint-Louis road near the SPIA factory, a short distance from the Marlboro sign. The incident occurred this Tuesday around 2 p.m.
The vehicle was completely consumed by the flames in front of its owner and passengers before the firefighters arrived.
Traveling from Dakar to Saint-Louis, the car suddenly stopped in the middle of the road and began to burn.
According to witnesses, the flames were caused by an electrical short circuit.
After a thirty-minute battle, firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control, but it had consumed everything. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries, as the passengers had exited the vehicle before the flames began to spread.
The police have opened an investigation.
