A surprise operation carried out on Saturday evening by the research brigade of the district police station of Parcelles-Assainies resulted in three arrests and an injury to a police officer in the Grand-Médine district.
On Saturday, April 25, 2026, around 8 p.m., members of the research brigade were conducting a patrol in the area known as "Réseau-Ba" in Grand-Médine. They apprehended a first individual, K. The arrest of the latter turned into a standoff. Mr. Diop put up fierce resistance before biting the left ring finger of police officer Sipouye, according to Seneweb sources.
Placed in police custody, the suspects confessed during their interrogation. K. Tall admitted to owning the bag of marijuana, while exonerating PMCissé. M. Diop, for his part, admitted to biting the police officer in an attempt to avoid arrest.
