En prison: Ndèya beauté face aux douleurs d’une chirurgie esthétique
For the past month, Ndeye Fatou Diatta, better known as Ndeya Beauté, has been serving a six-month prison sentence at the Liberté 6 Women's Prison. Convicted on June 6th of breach of trust and embezzlement of 42 million CFA francs from a tontine (a type of savings and loan association) she managed, she now faces another ordeal. Her health is causing concern among her family and friends, who are raising the alarm.
Having recently come out of surgery, the young woman underwent several cosmetic procedures, including a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), breast augmentation, and liposuction. These procedures, outside of surgery, require rigorous, regular, almost daily post-operative care.
But behind bars, monitoring her condition becomes a struggle. Her last visitors describe her as weakened, "stuck" between four walls, far from the conditions recommended for recovery. "She's mainly in pain in her breasts," says one of her friends. They implore the judicial authorities for leniency, requesting adjustments and appropriate care.
In this case, it is important to clarify that the complexity of the matter stems from the reason for the intervention. Without a therapeutic aim, the cosmetic operation complicates the situation.
