Endeavour Mining et FEDCOM: L'Accélérateur de Contenu Local (ACL) présente ses premiers succès et se structure à Abidjan
Endeavour Mining and the ECOWAS Federation of Chambers of Mines (FEDCOM) convened their strategic partners on December 12, 2025, in Abidjan for a working session of the Local Content Accelerator (LCA). The objective was to review the progress made since its launch in April 2025 and to define priorities for 2026. This meeting marks a key step in consolidating the initiative as an independent regional instrument.

The ACL initiative is designed to strengthen the competitiveness of West African suppliers, facilitate their access to financing, and harmonize regional mining practices. Hawahou Guillaume, Senior Vice President at Endeavour Mining, emphasized that the Accelerator helps to unite efforts to create the conditions for more inclusive development and a greater impact on national economies.

Since its creation, the ACL, supported by a multi-stakeholder coalition, has presented concrete results: a detailed mapping of suppliers in Ivory Coast, Senegal and Burkina Faso, the support of 45 pilot suppliers through technical sessions covering administrative, financial, HSE and ESG aspects; the beginning of the development of financing models adapted to SMEs in the mining supply chain.

The President of FEDCOM, Adama Soro, reaffirmed the strategic importance of local content development for ECOWAS.

The meeting was marked by the formalization of a joint Charter signed by the members of the Steering Committee, including Endeavour Mining, Allied Gold, CORICA, Ecobank, FEDCOM, Fortuna Mining, and Transport Dieye. This charter formalizes the framework for collaboration and strengthens the governance of the ACL, aiming to sustainably consolidate this regional initiative.
