Enregistrements frauduleux : La délégation générale au pèlerinage alerte
The General Delegation for Pilgrimage (DGP) has issued a warning. It states that some unlicensed travel agencies are currently "illegally registering pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj with the intention of transferring them for a fee to duly licensed operators."
She considers this practice "fraudulent and diametrically opposed to religious ethics and morality." She argues that it undermines all efforts to reorganize the pilgrimage process undertaken within the Hajj community.
The Directorate General of Public Works (DGP), which is issuing warnings to offenders, cautions them that they risk legal prosecution. It calls on unlicensed agencies to refrain from any media or commercial activity related to the Hajj and urges all stakeholders to exercise vigilance.
