ESCROQUERIE ET FAUX SUR UN DOCUMENT ADMINISTRATIF : Le courtier M. B. prend 8 mois de prison ferme
The broker, MB, married and a father, was sentenced to eight months in prison for fraud and forgery of an administrative document.
According to the plaintiff, MB had offered him three plots of land for residential use. When he expressed his intention to buy them, MB provided him with forged administrative documents. The plaintiff stated that MB had used the identity documents of a stranger and a deceased person to produce these documents. It was only after paying 11 million CFA francs that he discovered the documents were fake.
The plaintiff filed a complaint with the police. MB was arrested and remanded in custody.
In the dock of the Thiès court for flagrant offenses, he admitted the accusations and pledged to reimburse the entire amount to the plaintiff.
Considering the facts to be consistent, the public prosecutor requested the application of the law.
The judge sentenced MB, guilty of fraud and forgery of administrative documents, to 8 months in prison and a fine of 200,000 CFA francs.
