FADP 2025 : 1,9 milliard FCFA mobilisés, plus de 57 % alloués aux médias privés et radios communautaires
The Ministry of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs detailed on Tuesday, April 7, the allocation of the Press Support and Development Fund (FADP) envelope for the 2025 fiscal year, marked by a clear orientation in favor of press companies.
According to data presented by Habibou Dia, Director of Communications, the total amount of the fund is 1.9 billion FCFA, of which 1,899,990,007 FCFA has actually been committed, leaving a balance of 9,993 FCFA at the end of the financial year.
The largest share is allocated to private press companies and community radio stations, which receive 1,098,750,000 FCFA, or 57.8% of the total. This trend confirms the priority given to direct support for stakeholders in the sector.
Public press companies (APS, RTS, AIP) benefit from 609,341,031 FCFA, representing 32.1% of the budget.
The training component mobilizes 125,750,000 FCFA, or 6.6% of the budget, reflecting a desire to strengthen professional capacities in the media sector.
The regulatory and governance bodies, including CORED and CCNP, are allocated 86,298,976 FCFA (4.5%).
Finally, FADP operating expenses, which were significantly reduced this year, amounted to 28,200,000 FCFA, or 1.5% of the overall budget.
