Fatick : la gouverneure Ngoné Cissé rassure sur l’état des préparatifs du 66e anniversaire de l’indépendance
The governor of the Fatick region, Ngoné Cissé, sought to reassure everyone about the level of preparation for the activities marking the celebration of the 66th anniversary of Senegal's independence, following the dress rehearsal held a few hours before the event.
Speaking to the press on the boulevard where the parade is to take place, in the presence of the defense and security forces, the administrative authority praised the quality of the organization and the mobilization of the various actors involved.
“This dress rehearsal has allowed us to see that there are some very exciting things in store for tomorrow,” she said. She also highlighted the return of the civilian parade to the region after several years of hiatus.
“This year, around thirty schools will participate in the parade. Last year, it was only a military ceremony. This time, we will have a large format, a full parade, including a majorette performance followed by a civil and military parade,” she said.
She also announced that the best performances would be rewarded. The military zone commander will present a trophy to the best civilian parade participant, while the governor will recognize the best military parade participant and the best youth groups.
In an atmosphere marked by rigor and discipline, the various components involved demonstrated their ability to ensure a parade worthy of this national commemoration.
