Fatick : Trois chauffeurs arrêtés par l'OCRTIS pour trafic d’ecstasy

The Fatick Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS) has struck a major blow in the fight against drug trafficking. On September 16, 2025, police arrested three individuals in a Toyota vehicle, in possession of 40 ecstasy tablets carefully hidden in the back of the driver's seat.

The accused are A.Sall, born in 2004 in Kaolack, driver living in the same town, M. Kassé, born in 1994 in Latmingué, driver living in Kaolack and O.Touré, born in 2005 in Passy, driver living in this locality.

According to preliminary findings of the investigation, the operation was made possible through the use of operational intelligence. The suspects were returning from Kaolack after obtaining supplies from their supplier based in Karang.

During their hearing, they admitted to having acquired the drugs for an amount of 80,000 FCFA, a sum raised after having pledged the registration document of the vehicle belonging to Mr. Kassé.

The three drivers were taken into custody at the Fatick BRS (Bureau de Surveillance du Sud) and will face charges of trafficking hard drugs (ecstasy). The vehicle and four mobile phones found in their possession were seized for the purposes of the ongoing investigation.
