Fatick : un éleveur de 55 ans tombe dans les filets de l'OCRTIS pour trafic de drogue
On Friday, February 27, 2026, officers from the Fatick Regional Narcotics Brigade, under the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), arrested a suspected drug trafficker. The suspect, Mr. Dione, 55, a livestock farmer, resides in the village of Bacobof, where he operated, according to Seneweb sources.
The case originated following information regarding a large-scale cannabis trafficking network operating in the village of Bacobof, controlled by Mr. Dione. Based on this information, investigators from the Fatick Regional Narcotics Brigade set up a surveillance and investigation operation.
At around 6:30 p.m., Mr. Dione was arrested following a confirmation purchase, an investigative technique used to validate information gathered in the field.
A search of his home resulted in the discovery of one kilogram of cannabis and forty packets of the same product. When questioned about the origin of the drugs, the suspect attempted to deny the charges, but failed to convince investigators.
Mr. Dione was taken into custody after being informed of his rights. The investigation is ongoing.
